TR
Level Editor (TrLevEdit)
TR Level Editor
is a project currently in development. It is a fully featured level editor,
which is currently being developed to edit Tomb Raider 1 (*.PHD) level files.
After this, I am planning to release a version for each of the other versions
of Tomb Raider except for Tomb Raider 4.
It's interface is it's greatest feature. It looks and functions like the official editor (RoomEdit v.49) and so will make it easy for RoomEdit users to start building levels for the other Tomb Raider titles.
Progress Report (Updated on 28th May 2002):
Rendering component has
been greatly enhanced.
Raising / Lowering invididual corners of a room "block" has now been added making
levels much smoother
Importing geometry from RoomEdit v.49 PRJ files, and TR1 PHD Level Files has been added, although the PHD import
still needs some refining on the conversions side (converting the PHD data to the way in which my program
represents level).

Development
Status (Updated on 28th May 2002):
Still
developing the rendering component of the program (making the room data into
a 3D preview)
Also developing PHD Saving and enhancing the PHD loading code.
Other Facts:
The
editor is programmed using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 and it's MFC libraries.
For 3D-rendering it uses the OpenGL libraries. I started this project well
over a year ago!
Rendering
code is already at the 1000-lines of code stage, with plenty more code to
come!

Screenshot 2 - Showing how easy it will be to create
decent room geometry for TR1 levels
Screenshot 3 - Diagonal faces will be no problem for
the editor
Screenshot 4 - 2D Map allows easy placement of rooms
throughout the world space
